About the McMahons

Robyn, Lesley & Carly McMahonGlenn and Lesley came to Gabriola Island as young parents in 1978 ...

We were attracted to the quiet and beautiful surroundings, and close proximity to work and shopping in Nanaimo. We were especially interested in the small friendly community and considered Gabriola a good place to raise our children, Carly and Robyn.

As it turned out Gabriola was and is a wonderful place to raise a family along with a couple of dogs, some chickens, a cat, and two horses. Our girls are now grown, the animals have passed on and we are still here - it appears that Gabriola is also a good place for future retirement! Now Gabriola appeals to us for different reasons - we are happy to be a part of our friendly community and to call this beautiful island our home. And because we like to be closer to nature and not further from civilization, we enjoy the close proximity to places like Nanaimo, Victoria, and Vancouver and the Mount Washington ski area!

For our family, living on Gabriola has helped us to realize a way of life which we welcome and appreciate: a relaxed lifestyle where the worries of the world seem a little further away and where family and friends come together to enjoy the perfect balance of nature and community.

Lesley has enjoyed a successful career in real estate since 1985 and is now pleased to be partnered with her two daughters, Robyn and Carly McMahon. Specializing in the sale of Gabriola properties she knows the island well and her clients benefit from her years of experience and expertise.

Raised on Gabriola since birth, Robyn spent several years exploring bigger cities and settled in Vancouver for a few more years to study Psychology. She returned to Gabriola in the summer of 2004 and worked for Lesley as an unlicensed assistant while she completed the Real Estate Trading Services course. Partnered with her mother Lesley McMahon and sister Carly McMahon, this team draws from a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to provide sincere and knowledgeable service to all of their clients.

Robyn is delighted to be back on Gabriola and hopes to inspire many others to realize Gabriola Island as their home.

Carly McMahonCarly McMahon

Carly enjoyed her childhood on Gabriola Island and then spent many years traveling to such places as New Zealand, Fiji, and the Cook Islands.

She spent 3 years studying Environmental Sciences in Vancouver before moving to Victoria. Carly and her husband returned to Gabriola to raise their two daughters in this friendly small community atmosphere. Partnered with her mother Lesley McMahon and sister Robyn McMahon this knowledgeable Real Estate family provides friendly "low pressure" service.
