We were extremely fortunate last week to have been able to head over to Tofino for 3 days with the kids and friends. We stayed in 3 small and cozy cabins located at Crystal Cove Resort and because of it being the slow season we got a fabulous deal on our accommodation. We spent one day on the beaches and the weather was wonderful, sunny and quite warm for January with the kids in and out of the ocean with shoes, socks and coats tossed to the side. We had a picnic lunch on the beach and admired the view. The following day we headed into town for a visit to the Roy Henry Vickers Gallery and also a fantastic little book store called Mermaid Tales were we picked up a couple of books and spent some time browsing before heading home. We stopped at Chocolate Tofino on our way back to our cabin and picked up an assortment of amazing handmade chocolates including a very delectable lavender truffle and maple caramel truffle. This is a trip we will do again, hopefully next year!
