After many years of trying to grow melons with very little luck this year has seen a marked difference! We now have a greenhouse and currently have 5 good sized cantaloupes ripening for our enjoyment. We also have a volunteer melon in the garden of unknown variety that currently has 2 good sized fruit on it. Must be the year for it. The melon in the pictured was the first to be ready and is substantially smaller than the others but it smelled and tasted wonderful!
