Thanksgiving Weekend was bustling on Gabriola with the 18th Annual Artist’s Studio Tour organized by the Gabriola Arts Council. This is one of my favourite events happening on Gabriola. I have a passion for sewing, which I some how manage to fit in outside of my real estate life and I partnered up with my friend Nina Turczyn of Paprika Design (www.paprikajewellery.ca) – she makes beautiful and unique sterling silver jewellery – to open up the studio for hundreds of people from both on and off Gabriola who came to check out and purchase our awesome stuff.
Carly baked for us each evening and provided some delicious treats, pumpkin cookies with brown butter icing, almond citrus shortbread, cream cheese blondies, chocolate brownies, and some fabulous ginger snap cookies (that reminds me, I need to get the recipe from her). Anyway, it was a really fun weekend! You should come next year.
